Quantum Nutrition Helps Cells Stay Healthy

By Erna Gutierrez

The search for healthy nutritious foods that are not affected by chemicals can be very hard to do. Most of what is sold in supermarkets has been exposed to pesticides, fertilizers, and other materials. Food grown out in the open fields can also be affected by pollution in rain water. Some growers add additives to make their crops grow larger and stronger than they ever could have by themselves. This has lead many people to find alternatives to commonly grown produce in hopes that their bodies will not be affected by the materials found in regular vegetables. One answer maybe to incorporate a Quantum Nutrition program into their diets.

What the researchers have discovered is that produce exposed to chemicals and other contaminants will cause the cells to malfunction. Cells resonate when healthy and create a special harmony that each cells reacts to in a positive way. When the harmony is disrupted, the outer membranes do not resonate as well. Eating good foods with a high nutritional value allows the cells to resonate at their optimum levels.

This is a sound that people cannot hear with their ears. They would need special equipment to record the sounds that are made. However, researchers have made a connection with these sounds and a person's health. When the cells are harmonizing, a person is normally enjoying good health. Conversely, when the harmonizing is muted, then a person is probably suffering from ill health.

This can also impede a person's ability to recover from an illness. If their body is not working as well as it should, then recovering from a disease takes a longer time. If the body is humming like it should, a person should be able to recover from an illness more quickly.

The change many of these scientist would like to see is a raising of people's consciousness towards the Quantum methods they use to grow produce. The standards for growing this produce is considerably higher than those applied to foods grown organically. There are several measures that a grower must take to achieve this new designation for the foods people eat.

The first is finding land that has not been affecting by any industrial pollution. Some have even done the growing in the confines of a laboratory. The land must be completely fertilized with organic materials. There will not irradiate or fumigate the plants as they are to be one hundred percent free of chemicals and other harmful substances.

Growers wait until the plant as reached its peak potency. When this is achieved they will harvest the produce and carefully package it. The packaging should protect the vegetables from being exposed to any hazardous materials that could render it useless. Then it is shipped to the consumer for consumption.

Many people are trying to find ways to keep their bodies as healthy as they can. Consumers have become concerned with how their food is grown and if there will be any ramifications when eating these foods. Quantum Nutrition is a method that is producing high quality produce to ease the concerns of some consumers.

Advantages and Disadvantages of the New Green Coffee Fat burning Supplement

By Russell Sweeney

Lindsey Duncan, ND CN, a celebrity nutritionist, has just recently promoted green coffee as a fat burning supplement on the Dr. Oz Show. Dr. Duncan has 28 years medical experience and has actually achieved incredible results for her customers. She suggests that individuals consider taking green coffee extract not only for its fat burning properties but also for improving their general health. It is a well-known fact that this supplement is specifically useful in minimizing the risk of contracting Parkinson's Condition and Alzheimer's Condition.

The coffee increases the flow of blood and oxygen to the brain. That is why people focus better after having had some coffee which is why coffee is a typical ingredient in migraine medications. However, too much roasted coffee could make you jittery and needs to be avoided. The amount of caffeine in green coffee does not have an unfavorable impact on the nervous system.

The green coffee supplement can be mixed with other natural ingredients which increase its efficiency. Some of the most typical extracts utilized in conjunction with the green coffee extract are Acai, Resveratrol, Kelp, Grapefruit and Apple Cider Vinegar. Resveratrol has a name that sounds like a chemical but it is a plant extract. Because some low quality items add chemical compounds to the extract and these should certainly be avoided, always thoroughly check out the label of the item you mean to purchase.

The drawback of green coffee is that it is not appropriate for children, for expectant moms and nursing mothers. It is best avoided by individuals who suffer from diabetes, high blood pressure or heart . Since these ailments are extremely common in overweight people (they are commonly caused by excessive weight itself) then this could be seen as quite a huge limitation.

Another downside is that it can be habit forming if used improperly. When using it, it is essential to stay within the prescribed doses and just be practical. Individuals that suffer from anemia ought to also possibly avoid this supplement as it tends to use up part of the body's iron stores.

This supplement has extensive scientific backing; a recent short article published in the journal "Diabetes, Metabolic Syndrome and Obesity" mentioned research where the individuals lost an average of 18 pounds, more than 10 percent of their body weight, without differing their food intake. Various other researches have actually been done involving individuals as well as lab mice. The major component responsible for the fat burning seems to be a compound called chlorogenic acid which speeds up the metabolism and "burns" the fat.

It is however a good idea to purchase a little domestic roaster and mill so that you could make your own roasted coffee brew for special occasions or to offer visitors. An occasional cup of roasted coffee will do you no harm.

Caffeine is a natural hunger suppressant therefore by taking the green coffee extract you will feel psychologically focused, full of energy and also not hungry at all. Exactly what else could you want?

Simple Ways You Can Gain Better Nutrition

By Shawn Hammerness

Nutrition can do a lot for you; all you need to do is learn about it! As you may already know, getting proper nutrition involves what you eat and which supplements you take. Each person's nutritional needs are different, and this can make finding your own personal plan somewhat difficult. With the information shown below you can explore your options and define your own fitness program.

Raw vegetables are very nutritious for you. They eliminate hunger and make you feel full while giving you plenty of minerals and vitamins. They really are no more difficult to store and eat than processed foods. In addition, they don't cause as much of a mess as your convenience foods. Raw veggies make a fine bridge between the meals in a healthy diet.

Sugary cereal is a bad choice for your morning meal. These foods are so high in sugar, chemicals and trans fats that they have no real nutritional value. Switch your sugary cereal for oatmeal or another whole-grain cereal to enjoy a meal that is still fast, but that keeps you full longer.

Consumption of sodas should be limited or eliminated altogether. Sodas and other sugary beverages contain a substantial amount of high fructose corn syrup which results in a high intake of sugars. Many carbonated beverages have an ingredient called citric acid, which can erode the enamel of teeth. The added sugar in the HCFS helps the bacteria on the teeth to grow, which leads to more acid being produced.

Select dairy products with a great deal of thought. Dairy products can provide important nutrients, such as vitamin D, protein and calcium, but be sure to use low-fat and fat-free products. Skim and low-fat milk have all the nutrients of milk but half the calories. You can also use lactose-free milk and soy milk if you happen to be lactose intolerant. A lot of cheeses have a high saturated fat content, so choose the versions that are reduced-fat.

Even when constantly on the go, you need to make healthy meals for your kids. The food that your children eat affects their educational and athletic success.

Try eating a variety of protein every single day. Select meats low in fat, fish, and poultry without the skin. Eggs make a wonderful source of protein in moderation. We now know that having an egg every day will not harm you. For one day of each week, why not try skipping meat? Have seeds, nuts, peanut butter and beans in place of the meat.

Reduce the amount of hamburger in your recipes, and add more mushrooms. Studies show that mushrooms have satisfied many people like meat does, which may be due to their texture. Mushrooms are full of fiber and help protect against cancer.

Proper nutrition is really important for growing kids. Also, try to create good eating habits in your household so that they can get into a good routine. Feeding them foods containing too much starch and sugar deprives them of the important nutrients their growing bodies desperately need.

As you've witnessed, nutrition can tremendously improve your life. It won't happen overnight and it won't be easy, but it will be well worth it.

Can Nutrition Have An Effect On Your Dog's Behavior?

Recent studies, and common sense, suggest that nutrition does have an important effect on a dog's behavior. Many dog food companies are adding more micronutrients, anti-oxidants, and vitamins and minerals to foods today in the belief that behavior can be affected. But not every dog has a good diet. It has even been suggested that many dogs have bad behavior due to bad diets, which leads their owners to turning them in to animal shelters. Improving a dog's diet could be a way to improve his overall behavior.
Good nutrition
Dogs who eat a healthy diet are able to grow and learn under optimal conditions. They have enough calories in their diet for healthy bones, skin and coat, and for their brains to develop. Dogs who are fed a quality diet typically have fewer problems with stress and anxiety which means they have better coping skills. They may also seem more intelligent and easier to train. They are less likely to exhibit behavior problems in the home.
Dogs who do not get enough good nutrition, or who are fed a poor quality food, can show physical signs such as an oily, dull, or patchy coat. They may seem lethargic or sluggish and lack energy. They may seem to lack focus or concentration and it is harder for them to learn. They can become unhappy or aggressive. They can even become hyperactive and act out, showing behavior problems at home.
Choosing foods with good nutrition
You can choose a dog food that contains good nutrition for your dog by looking for several qualities in the food. Choose a dog food that has good quality protein, preferably one that has two or three meat proteins in the first five ingredients. Meat protein is easier for dogs to digest and has more bioavailability than other kinds of protein. Avoid foods that contain too much cereal or grain content. Cereals and grains are often harder for dogs to digest, although they do contain protein. Avoid foods with artificial preservatives such as ethoxyquin, BHA, and BHT. Avoid foods with sugar, artificial sweeteners and artificial coloring. And look for foods that have taurine added for healthy heart function.
There are other things you can look for in quality dog foods but if you follow these basics, you should be able to select a good food that provide good nutrition. Some people like to buy organic, human grade, or free range food for their dogs, but these food options are very expensive and not everyone can afford them. They may provide some slight additional nutritional value but if you follow the suggestions above, your dog should be eating a healthy diet.
Some people like to add additional supplements to their dog's diet such as fish oil. If you are feeding your dog a good quality diet, there is probably no need to add supplements. However, adding a small amount of additional supplementation will not hurt your dog if it makes you feel better, as long as you don't add so many supplements that it alters the nutritional balance of the food.

Some Weight Loss Tips to Lose The Extra Pounds

Want to lose those extra pounds? Well, you're not alone on your dilemma. According to the WHO website, obesity statistics worldwide have reached 1.4 billion in 2008 (adults), while around 40 million children aged no more than 5 years are found obese in 2010. Here are some healthy weight loss tips to shed those excess fats.
Watch what you eat.
This is probably the most common tip, but one that is constantly failed by many. If you want to lose weight, it's important to take control of your diet and nutrition. Knowing how much calories you consume per day can be a bit tiresome at first, but the knowledge can help you a lot in the process. Keeping a food diary is ideal to take note of your daily food consumption - you'll be surprised with how much and what types of food you consume per day!
Make lifestyle changes.
Are you a couch potato, or you're simply too "tired" to do some physical work to exercise regularly? While weight loss diets may be effective for some time, you can't make the most of your weight loss plan if you keep on doing your unhealthy habits. Besides, diets are not the answer to your weight loss goal - they're very short-term to start with. Making changes on your lifestyle and daily habit is the key towards a healthier and more effective weight loss. Cut down on your fats, carbs, and calories (and make this your long-term goal from now on), and start incorporating workout programs (or alternative activities you can do) to continuously burn down fats or simply maintain your ideal weight.
Find or create your support group.
Sometimes, your own motivation and enthusiasm aren't enough to keep you going. Take a support buddy with you or join a group that also has the same goal as yours - to lose weight. Continuously updating and motivating each other to reduce weight and maintain healthy lifestyles can really help you a lot on your objective. You can even find some modern and highly effective tips shared by other people who face the same problem.
Should you go into weight loss supplements?
Weight loss supplements such as MuscleWerks D-Fine 8 are fine, to some extent. There are some reminders you have to keep in mind should you decide to take this route. First off, many of these products are effective, but that doesn't mean you need to depend entirely on their weight loss benefits. If you continue on your unhealthy lifestyle and food consumption, the effects of these products are only temporary. Besides, they are just intended to supplement your nutrition plan, exercise program, and your lifestyle. Before you buy any product, make sure to check their effectiveness and reported disadvantages. Only go for government-approved products sold at reputable shops online or locally. And of course, don't forget to consult with your GP to know if you are fit and safe to use such supplements.
Lose weight safely and feel good about yourself through the help of effective weight loss supplements like MuscleWerks D-Fine 8. Check out NutritionWarehouse for more info about this product and related supplements online.

Weight Loss Secrets: Diet, Nutrition, and Healthy Living

Weight loss secrets that consist of nutrition and diet product has helped many people nurture a healthier and better lifestyle by supplying essential minerals and vitamins in the diet. Nutrition and diet is substantial for everyone, especially for runners, or for those who work hard. If you're on a diet, or you're sick, or you regularly eat fast food, you have to really pay attention to what you and your family get from the food, whether it meets the standard diet and proper nutrition for your body or not.
Nutritious diet is important for everyone because these foods provide the nutrients the body needs to stay healthy, grow, and work well. In 2005, the dietary guidelines for US citizens, introduced something called "nutrient density," a term that sounds complex but simply refers to how many nutrients are contained by a food. Nutrient density is absolutely important, especially when nutrition and health has become primary consideration.
Experts believe that the nutrients can help avoid heart attack, fight some cancers, and even slow the aging process in particular ways. And if you're like most of us, did not get enough to eat unhealthy foods, you may be trying to trick your body by providing nutritional supplements to make up for the guilt of not paying attention to your diet.
Even the best weight loss secrets will give better results when coupled with regular exercise and proper nutrition, because when people consume a healthy diet and do some exercise, they will feel better, have so more energy and more immune to health issues. Health and nutrition products can help to ensure the proper level of nutrition to be given to your body so that your body remains healthy.
Nutritious snacks can be very important to your overall health and nutrition. When you eat snack, you can fill in nutritional gaps, if you increase your intake of fruits and vegetables. This will help you keep your mood stable, and helps suppress appetite and control weight. However, too much snacking can also be a bad thing as well, and can definitely contribute to adding some excess weight to your body. If you're searching for a major culprit in US's obesity epidemic, the majority of nutritionists will tell you to stick a poster on a wall: a picture of glass of cold, bubbly soda pop.
Good nutrition is one way to improve the body for health. As you can see, the habits of good nutritional and adequate caloric intake are very important. However, it is expected to also keep the intake at least some dairy products because they represent a lot of good sources of nutrients, such as calcium and protein. And good nutrition is synonymous with good health.
In the end, it all comes back to each of us to learn all that we can learn about these weight loss secrets, and then apply that knowledge for the good of our lives. Nutrition puts us on the path to good health, and good health is something we all want to live and be happy.

The Building Blocks of Bodybuilding Nutrition

As with any fitness individual or athlete, nutrition is essential for the building of a healthy body. Proper nutrition can help to optimize performance, improve strength, increase memory, improve endurance, reduce the risk of injury, and build mass. Nutrition is a must in any body building program. A well balanced diet and good weight training program will result in the body you've always dreamt of.
The first aspect of a nutrition program for body builders is the frequency of meals. Eating frequent, smaller meals will increase your metabolism and allow your body to burn more fat throughout the day. Changing your personal eating habits from three large meals a day to five or six smaller ones will have an immediate affect on your body. Create a plan that allows you to eat at three hour intervals or around those marks. You will also find that your energy will remain more constant throughout the day by incorporating this strategy into your nutrition program.
Secondly, it is absolutely critical that each meal you consume throughout the day is balanced. A balanced diet should follow 40% carbohydrates, 40% protein and the remaining 20% should contain fats. Carbohydrates fuel your body. If you don't eat enough carbohydrates during each meal your energy levels will spike and then plummet within the hour, leaving you sluggish and hungry. While some protein is necessary for muscle growth, it can have the opposite effect if too much is consumed. To create a balanced meal all you have to do is match the servings of carbohydrates and proteins, then cut that in half for your fat intake.
Carbohydrates are essential in a nutrition program for body builders because it gives them sustained energy throughout the day and also allow protein to be absorbed into muscle tissue to promote recovery and growth. Diets that are high in carbohydrates and low in fat have the reverse effect. This diet will essentially turn your body into a fat storing machine, completely reversing everything you have worked towards. A balanced proportion of carbohydrates should be divided between complex and simple carbohydrates. The complex carbohydrate is responsible for giving the body builder sustained energy and is found in foods like oatmeal, potatoes, and pasta. Simple carbohydrates are responsible for giving the body an instant burst of energy, and are found in foods like broccoli, carrots, and cauliflower.
Protein during each meal is responsible for healthy skin, hair, and nails. It can also aid in increasing your metabolism. Too much protein will result in a build-up of fat storage for body builders. A good rule of thumb for body builders to follow is to consume 1 to 1.5 grams of protein for every pound of lean body mass. Good sources of protein include eggs, turkey, chicken breast, tuna or a protein supplement.
Finally, a small amount of healthy fats in each meal will create a well rounded nutrition plan. By attempting to remove all fat from your diet, you will also be decreasing your metabolism and actually cause your body to store more fat. Good sources of fat come from peanut butter, olive oil, fish, and certain types of nuts.

A well balanced diet of carbohydrates, lean protein and top energy foods remain the answer to a healthy life and weight management.
When people slim down and blow up again. Most times it is about the food that they eat. These people think food habits do not really count and instead emphasize on only exercising. Unfortunately, exercising is only a small part of the puzzle.
What you need to understand is that it easier to eat healthily. You would not need to worry all the time about burning fat. When your body is lean and mean, exercising is never a means to an end. Eating healthy is a win-win situation. It saves you precious time and money because do not spend hours on the treadmill or your hard earned money on expensive personal trainers.
If you to want to lose some pounds there is no magical program that deflates your body weight like a hot air balloon. It requires focus, discipline and determination. Weight management is a personal commitment that you would not go down that road again. Once you make this personal decision and are determined to see it through it becomes easier to work up your body and stick to it. Successful weight loss management is like flossing teeth. You do it almost without thinking or considering the actions that are involved.
This is something that people can do all through their lifetime and imbibe strong skills along the way. Whatever plan that you draw up to keep your weight problems at bay. Stick to them and see them as a fun activity and not something you hate with every cell in your body. Most people lose weight before their weight begins to plummet. It is important not to give up and to have people who will continue to encourage you.
Ensure that you weigh yourself every day. This sets off an early warning sign that you are tied to a task. Eat more calcium because it helps the body produce calcitrol and fat which helps to maintain body weight that has been lost. Shave a little bit of fat from your diet and never skip breakfast because it is the most important meal of the day. When you eat breakfast, you consume lesser calories for the remaining part of the day. Lastly, try to exercise at least 60 minutes every day. It does not have to be anything intensive. Even a one hour walk to the park is still effective.

Horse Nutrition and Hoof Care - A Healthy Horse Has Healthy Hooves

So, what can we feed our horses that's good for their hooves? This question should more accurately be, what can we feed our horse that's good for THEM?
What's good for the hoof is good for the whole horse. Feeding the hoof is no more or less complicated than simply feeding the horse well and providing all they need for optimal tissue growth and repair. If your horse is getting a quality balanced diet with adequate amounts of trace and major minerals, the right kind of fats and oils, good sources of antioxidants, vitamins and quality proteins with adequate amino acid profiles, then you will have a healthy horse and a healthy horse has healthy hooves.
Poor hoof quality is one of the most obvious outward signs that your horse is not healthy on the inside. This is because the hoof tissue is highly metabolic, meaning it grows fast! It continually replaces itself as the hoof grows downward and wears away (actually it continually grows downward even if it DOESN'T wear away... ). This means that health issues, changes in diet, sickness and even changes in workload, can all be seen in the quality and form of the hoof wall.
Adequate nutrition is the foundation for excellence in health and performance. If you're having a problem with your horse, whether it be his hooves, dull coats, her moods, recovery problems or immune dysfunction... you can bet there's a nutritional component.
So what are some of the most common deficiencies that are lacking in our horses' diets that lead to health problems and poor quality hooves?
PROTEIN
Skin, coat and hooves are all made of the same major structural protein, keratin. Keratin, like all proteins in the body is made up of a strand of amino acids, some of which are non-essential (alanine and glycine, the horse's body can manufacture these from within) and essential (cysteine - produced from methionine, the horse can't make these, it is 'essential' that they are included in the diet). Therefore, poor quality protein with imbalanced essential amino acid profiles, may lead to hoof structure problems.
FATS
The hoof wall contains a variety of fats and waxy substances that provide a barrier against the outside world. They also help to contain moisture within the hoof wall. Like a waxy layer of skin, they keep the water out and the moisture in.
These waxy, oily substances fill the microscopic spaces between the keratin proteins, they give the hoof wall it's shiny, sleek look.
Generally, horses on predominantly pasture diets will have no need for additional fats. Horses who are on restricted diets, are fed lots of grain, don't have much access to pasture or who mainly get fed hay, may need supplementation.
When supplementing fats in the horse's diet it's extremely important to keep the omega 3 to omega 6 ratio around what it would be in the horse's natural diet. The omega 3s are known to be anti-inflammatory - in other words they help resolve inflammation in the body. Whereas the omega 6 is known to be pro-inflammatory, meaning they can worsen inflammation. Therefore a ratio of between 4:1-6:1 is ideal. The best way to do this is to feed ground linseeds (flaxseeds) as they have the closest to ideal ratio of omegas. Between 100-180g per day would be a standard dose, however it does need to be ground directly before feeding to ensure optimal absorption and freshness.
Horses that are being fed products that contain high levels of omega 6 will also need supplementation to balance out the ratios. Some feeds that are high in omega 6 would include corn, rice bran, canola and vegetable oil and black sunflower seeds.
VITAMINS
Vitamin E is important as an antioxidant to protect the fats in the hoof wall. As are the B vitamins, with Biotin receiving the most attention due to some positive research.
MINERALS
Calcium is important for the activation of enzymes involved in the production and binding of the keratin cells of the hoof wall.
Zinc is also essential for hoof wall tissue as it is involved with the production and multiplication of these same keratin cells as well as being involved with cell growth and proliferation. Therefore zinc deficiency could show up as poor quality and thin hoof wall, slow growth rate and poor connection.
Copper is another extremely important trace mineral when it comes to hoof horn quality. It is essential for the production and activation of enzymes that help form and hold the hoof wall cells together.
Selenium, involved with the formation of hoof horn and acts as an antioxidant to protect the fatty protective layer. This is particularly relevant to horses living on Victorian pasture and hay diets, as our soil profiles in the south east are known to be low in selenium.
Not only is it important that the minerals in the diet are present in adequate amounts, it is just as important to ensure they are there in the correct ratios. This is because some minerals interfere with the absorption of others. For example, too much zinc has been shown to reduce copper absorption. An excess of iron does the same thing.
If the hoof wall is weak at a cellular level, it will be weak at the physical and structural level. This leads to the breakdown of the cell structure and a weakening of the waxy, fatty barrier. Micro cracks and weaknesses can occur letting microbes and infection into the hoof.
So, does your horse need a hoof supplement... ? No, your horse just needs a balanced diet in order to maintain and support healthy body functions at a cellular level.
Lucky for us, it's easy! What's good for the horse, is also good for the hooves... and the coat... and the skin... and the immune system... and I could go on and on!
The ultimate and only 100% way to balance your horse's diet is to test your pasture and hay. This enables you to determine what is already in your horse's diet, therefore allows you to accurately determine what is lacking. If you're interested in this option, please contact me for more details.
For those of us who are not in a position to test our pasture and hay - perhaps you are agisting or buy small quantities of hay at a time - there is a custom mix called Missy's Bucket. This mix is formulated to supply the most commonly deficient minerals in the average pasture and hay diet. It is tailored specifically for horses living in the south east region of Australia. When you can't test your forage, this is the next best option.

A Healthy Weight Loss Panel

Not all humans were made equal. Some are short, others are tall, there are differences in eye color, hair color and skin tones. Those are things beyond our control. That is how we were born and if we end up unhappy because of how we look, we can always point the finger at our genetic makeup.
However, there are several things that we can control to present ourselves better to the rest of the "humanverse", and get the feel-good factor and confidence that we get when we know we look good. Hairstyles, hygiene, personal grooming, and the way we dress are all factors that contribute to our looks. And of course, the one question that preys on all of our minds, how much do we weigh?
The plethora of choices available makes it difficult to figure out which one is the best, or even if weight loss plans work at all? On a fundamental level, they do work. Each and every one of them will help you lose weight. But shouldn't the goal really be a stable and sustained weight loss?
Most people tend to notice immediate progress when they go on a plan. They find a weight loss plan, follow it, start losing weight and feeling good about themselves. Then they lose focus and a-whoops-e-daisy! The fat marches back in like a conquering hero, and lays ruin to all the hard work.
If you really are gearing up to become slimmer, it is important to make a long-term commitment to the mission. You have to go out and find the most suitable weight loss plan, your soul mate. And then you court it, and understand it. Once you find compatibility, you propose, and then you marry the weight loss plan, making it a part of the rest of your life.
Do I even need to Lose Weight?
Before you put on your armor and head out into the battlefield for a crusade against high body fat, you should stop and ask yourself a few questions first. Are you really even overweight, or not? How much weight do you need to lose? People start on this path, and sometimes, they forget to look back. They forget that staying healthy is most important, not the numbers on the weighing machine.
Why do you want to lose weight in the first place? Is it health concerns that bother you, or vanity? Is it, perhaps, a bruised ego - comments passed at work or a social gathering? It is a long and dark road that leads to a slim, healthy body. You need the right motivation to travel upon it, and overcome the obstacles on the way. Do not let other people's opinions cloud your judgment, and give up halfway, for the faint-hearted shall remain forever fat!
How Do I Go About Losing Weight?
Well, it's quite simple really. You starve yourself. No? But it will make you lose weight!
That is really not the purpose though, is it? It shouldn't be. Losing weight alone should never be the objective, because starvation will do that to you, and it is easy. No, the aim is to develop and maintain a healthy body that looks good. More importantly, a body that makes you feel good.
By now, you should have thought about why you want or need to lose weight, how much do you need to lose, and if you want to lose it at all.
Now that you're all set and motivated to begin the slim regime, let's talk about the different methods and strategies that can help you lose weight. There are basically only three ways to go: diet plans, exercise regimens or a combination of the diet and exercise.
A lot of people do not even really need a weight loss plan. All they need to do is alter a few daily habits just slightly, and they'll notice the changes they wanted coming along pretty nicely. Sometimes, our daily routines or our eating habits are the only things standing in our way.
What most people do not realize is that not only is it important to eat right, it is also essential to eat at the right time. The same theory applies to sleep as well. The ideal time to sleep is at 10:00 p.m. at night, for six hours, until 04:00 a.m. in the morning.
So make a schedule, figure out your eating and sleeping patterns, plan the rest of your day around them, and then stick to that schedule. You'll notice an almost immediate improvement in your body and in your overall health condition.
Most people, however, do need a proper weight loss plan. Just fixing their eating or sleeping habits won't bring about the changes required. Some of them are too busy, or too lazy, in their daily lives to do any exercise, and need diet-only plans. Others love eating so much; they want an exercise-only plan, so they don't have to make nutritional sacrifices. While a few others will opt for the complete health package, and ask for a healthy weight loss plan that includes both exercise and a proper diet.
Tips for a slimmer body trick
As mentioned in the previous chapter, sometimes all that's needed to lose those few, extra pounds of fat is a slight alteration to our daily habits.
The excess weight that you're trying to get rid of so desperately with complex diet and exercise programs might just be the result of habits not even based in your eating patterns.
Tips n' Tricks
1. Sleep! The importance of a good, long, comfortable sleep at the right times cannot be stressed upon enough. Lack of sleep can lead to overeating, and thus weight problems, through stimulation of appetite.
2. It's cliché, but breakfast really is the most important meal of the day. It allows you to focus, and gives you the physical and mental energy for the rest of the day by stimulating your metabolism.
3. Preparation is everything. Bring out the paper and pen, and write down what you plan to eat for the week. Make a table, list the twenty-one meals and then try your best to stick to the schedule.
4. It takes approximately twenty minutes for your brain to realize that you should stop eating now. Tedious, eh? Take your time, eat slowly and chew thoroughly. There really is no hurry after all.
5. Do your own cooking. Not only does it allow you to experiment with a variety of foods and tastes, while helping you resist the urge of fattening junk food, it can also be an entirely rewarding and satisfactory experience.
6. It's the spices that bring variety to one's life. Try new ones. People find dieting hard because they often restrict themselves to bland food, like raw vegetables! Spices are not fattening. Experiment with them to add unique flavors to your cooking and make dieting more interesting for yourself.
7. This is probably the hardest tip to follow. Raid your refrigerator, take everything that might put you off your diet plan and then get rid of it. Yes, even if it means the cheese and the chocolates. Oh, and all those fuzzy drinks too!
8. Water sustains life, it nurtures life. It is life. Drink at least one glass of water before every meal to keep that appetite in check, and make sure you drink eight or more glasses of water every day.
9. Snacking is not good. Get into the habit of brushing your teeth after everything you eat, and you won't be tempted to eat as much, or as often.
10. Stay active! Find alternates to some of your chores. Walk to the supermarket for groceries instead of driving. Take the stairs to work instead of riding the elevator. Small, little changes like those can go a long way helping you lose weight, and then maintain that weight loss.

Vegan Nutrition Is Easier Than You Think

Vegan nutrition is one of those topics of discussion filled with misconceptions. At the Thanksgiving table, well-meaning relatives are likely to have all sorts of opinions about how you can't possibly be healthy without consuming any animal products. It's easy, however, to prove them incorrect.
There are at 4 typical topics of controversy when it comes to vegan nutrition. They are: vitamin B12, protein, iron, and calcium.
Vitamin B12
Vitamin B12 is admittedly challenging to obtain from a vegan diet. And it's certainly true that it's a very important nutrient. A vitamin B12 deficiency can be very serious, so it is important to obtain enough. Nutritional yeast is one vegan food that contains vitamin B12. Many vegans enjoy its cheesy flavor and sprinkle it on popcorn popped with coconut oil.
Vitamin B12 supplements are often suggested for vegans, and you can get all the vitamin B12 you need in a day if you take a good, high-quality supplement.
Protein
Protein is not as much of a concern if one is eating a well-rounded vegan diet. While we don't think of them as protein sources, vegetables do contain protein. Nuts and seeds also offer a lot of protein. Chia seeds have 3 grams of protein in just 2 tablespoons. Hemp seeds contain a complete protein, meaning they contain all the amino acids, the building blocks of protein. Brown rice is also high in protein.
In addition to all these vegan sources of protein, most vegans do not believe that humans need the amount of protein we are led to believe is necessary. Between the lessened need for protein and the bounty of plant protein sources, most vegans with a well-rounded diet get all the protein they need.
Iron
Iron is not just found in meat. One surprisingly rich source of iron is raw cacao powder. Happily, just 2.5 tablespoons have 8% of the RDA for iron! Chia seeds are another good source of iron, with 2 tablespoons containing 8% of the RDA. Blackstrap molasses are high in iron, with 1 tablespoon offering 19% of the RDA. 23% of the RDA is found in just one ounce of pumpkin seeds, which are delicious roasted and eaten out-of-hand. Baked potatoes and spinach are also high in iron. And there are also excellent vegan iron supplements available at any health food store if iron is a particular concern for you. The best and most easily digested tend to be the liquid supplements.
Calcium
Got kale? Many vegetables contain calcium and kale is one of the most concentrated and easily digestible sources of calcium. Sea vegetables, nori or dulse, for example, also contain high amounts of calcium, as do chia seeds. And just one tablespoon of blackstrap molasses contains 17% of the RDA. It's generally accepted in the nutrition community that vegetable and other plant sources of calcium are easily digested, therefore your body reaps the benefits more readily than from animal sources like cow's milk. Speaking of milk, coconut and almond milks contain 45% of the RDA for calcium in just 1 cup!

Nutrition Is The Best Medicine

March is National Nutrition Month. Personally, I think nutrition should be front and center in our health all year. It's the only side-effect free medicine!
For example, omega-3 fatty acids are known to help lower cholesterol. The Mayo Clinic lists fatty fish, such as salmon, as it's #2 food to help lower cholesterol. That's because natural wild-caught salmon is rich in omega-3 fatty acids. A study in the New England Journal of Medicine produced a study that showed healthy mono and poly-unsaturated fats can lower cholesterol as much as 18%. Eating 1-2 servings of salmon per week and combining that with other food with healthy omega-3 fatty acids, such as walnuts, olive oil, flax seeds and Brussels sprouts, can help lower your cholesterol without dangerous medications.
Nutrition also plays a huge role in keeping kids healthy and active. Kids who eat a healthy diet and are allowed to play as children are supposed to experience less illness, are of a healthy weight and have better concentration.
Recently, there has been much controversy over type 2 diabetes in children. Sadly, many of these reports sideline or completely forget that the top recommendation for children is to eat a diet rich in fruits and vegetables and run around to burn energy. What frightens me is the second recommendation is to give metformin to children. Not only is this drug not test on children, the side effects are scary. WebMD lists the side effects as sinus infections, head pain, nausea, diarrhea, swelling of the abdomen and inadequate vitamin B12 absorption. The manufacturer's website confirms this, and lists nearly 20 more side effects. Diarrhea and B12 deficiency in children can be fatal side effects in children.
What people sometimes forget is that diabetes is a disease that originates in sugar control problems. Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease that destroys the pancreas in kids. Type 2 comes from overeating sugar. It's easy to stop overeating sugars: Eliminate pre-packaged foods, soda and candy from the diet, focus on fruits, vegetables and quality meats and get plenty of exercise and fun.
The problem of being overweight can be solved with nutrition. In fact, nutrition and exercise are the only two methods of weight loss that has no side effects, is long term and never been pulled off the market. It's the only safe way. Switching unhealthy pre-packaged foods for healthy, fresh foods is the best way to incorporate good nutrition.
Our local farmers are a treasure trove of fruits and vegetables. Look at some of their stands this month. You will find fresh fruits and vegetables that these very farmers grew themselves. Yes, I know it is March and yes, we do have fresh food. Rhubarb, mushrooms, lettuces, spinach, parsnips, radishes and peas can all be grown with a little care to be harvested now. Much more is available from local greenhouses. Apples, squash and onions can be stored and used throughout the winter. Shop around, you will be surprised!

Saffron Weight Loss Benefits

There are many people across the world today who want to lose weight yet are unable to as they simply cannot control their urge to eat.
Although exercise or a lack of it can contribute to weight gain, your diet will ultimately play a larger role in the amount of weight you put on or are able to lose.
There are many reasons why you may be unable to control your appetite, maybe you are stressed or anxious, yet until you are able to take control of this emotional eating you will never reach your dream weight.
Is there a solution to emotional eating?
Recent research has shown that there is a solution to your emotional eating problems, an herbal extract found in Greece, North America and in some parts of North Africa. Its name? Saffron Extract.
In the past Satiereal Saffron as it is sometime known has been used in many different types of food, although only in small doses as it has a bitter taste.
Recently Saffron Extract has been shown to be able to have a significant impact on binge eating and therefore on the total number of daily calories consumed.
Obviously reducing your calorie intake will create a calorie deficit that will lead to weight being lost, particularly when used alongside exercise.
How does Saffron Extract work?
Consuming Satiereal Saffron can cause your serotonin levels within your body to increase. Serotonin is a hormone that helps to control both your mood and your appetite.
If your serotonin levels are low research has shown that this will result in you making bad food choices and the urge to binge eat.
In simple terms this herb will help you to avoid the consumption of those foods high in both sugar and calories, instead healthier food options will be easier to choose.
Another benefit of Saffron Extract is the fact that it can help to fill you up faster than you would normally. This can also help to reduce your calorie intake and is especially beneficial to those of us that tend to eat our meals quickly.
Does Saffron Extract cause any side effects?
At the present time there have been no reports of side effects of any problems from those who have consumed the recommended daily dosage of less than 500 mg.
When choosing a Saffron Extract supplement you should never exceed this limit and always stick to the instructions available with your purchase to avoid any potential issues.

Weight Loss Tips

We live in a nation of growing obesity. Statistics indicate that obesity has doubled since 1980. A 2008 report showed that 1.5 billion adults were clinically obese and over 45 million children were obese. There are complications connected to being obese. Approximately 3 million people die yearly from disease brought on or made worse from obesity. These diseases include diabetes, heart disease and cancer.
Practice Prevention: There are many things you can do to control your weight and prevent obesity. It is fundamentally a shift in how you think. You must realize that you have a great deal of power over your own health. Consider the fact that you in part, can control how you age and how you can maintain good health throughout your lifetime. Of course disease can occur to any of us. However you can greatly reduce your risks with a healthy lifestyle.
Physical Activity: Exercise is a very important part of any healthy lifestyle. Exercise will strengthen your body and you will begin to build muscle. Your metabolism will increase because muscle has a higher metabolic rate than fat. So add some strength training routines to your exercise program. You can incorporate 2-3 strength training routines weekly. Only 15-20 sessions can have a huge impact on your physical strength and health. You will begin burning fat and therefore lose weight.
Good Fats versus Bad Fats: There are healthy fats to add to your diet. These include omega fatty acids such as those found in fresh fish. Salmon is has one of the highest levels of good omega fatty acids. 2-3 servings weekly could be very healthy and helpful to your weight loss. Research has shown that monounsatured fats are very effective for weight loss. A good food to add to your diet is avocados. Although not the lowest in calories, avocadoes are extremely nutritious and high in monosaturated fats. Try adding some avocado to a salad or make a guacamole dip to eat with veggie sticks such as celery and carrots. Other healthy food choices for good fats include grass fed beef and extra virgin olive oil. Olive oil has numerous health benefits. It has been shown to increase the fat burning response in the body as well as lower inflammation levels.
Sugar: Sugar is something you definitely want to eliminate from your diet, particularly if you are trying to lose weight. When you consume too much sugar, this signals your body to use insulin to begin burning it off. As a result, your insulin will spike. Whatever isn't used will be converted by your body into fat. Try to limit your sugar intake to no more than 10 percent of your daily calorie intake. So for example if you consume 1500 calories daily, sugar should comprise only 150 of those calories. Always be on the lookout for hidden sources of sugar such as those found in soda and juices.
A Healthy Breakfast: When you are sleeping your metabolism goes into more of a resting state. This is referred to as "catabolism". In order to turn it on as efficiently as possible, you need to eat a good breakfast. Having a protein with breakfast is helpful along with whole grains. A good breakfast choice might be a veggie omelet with whole wheat bread. Or some oatmeal topped with fresh fruit and a protein bar. And remember to start the day with drinking some fresh pure water to hydrate your body.
Eating Styles: Eating smaller "mini meals" is a very effective way to help you lose weight. Eating your meals at consistent times is helpful. Eating every three hours during the day is a good way to keep your body consistently fueled with energy. This will also keep you from overeating. Many people overeat because they starve themselves all day and then they binge on a huge dinner. The whole key to keeping weight off is to keep your metabolic rate as high as you can. Skipping meals actually lowers your metabolism.
Reward System: Everyone once in a while you really need to just reward yourself. If you are too regimented in your eating habits and never allow yourself a little indulgence now and then, one of two things will happen. Either you will end up binging or you will quit and begin to go back to your old habits. It is well known that when you are too restrictive in your diet you will usually binge within a month and potentially gain even more weight.
Supportive Relationships: Being with like minded people who take care of themselves will really help you. If you are with peers who are overweight and have no motivation to get in shape you will probably do the same. We tend to mirror those we associate with. So if this is your situation, why not look to broaden your horizons and meet new and interesting people. You could join a gym, or a local meet up group that does walking, hiking, swimming, dance, etc. This will change your outlook on yourself. Before you know it, you will incorporate new and healthy habits into your own life and be on your way to successful weight loss.
Eliminate Junk Foods: Go through your kitchen and eliminate all of the unhealthy junk foods and processed foods you have around. You will benefit yourself and your family by doing so. If you have easy access to junk foods, the odds are you will eat it. Anytime you feel rushed or upset about something you will reach out to these types of foods. Focus instead on filling your pantry with healthy, wholesome foods. Keep snacks such as fresh fruit and no sugar yogurts in your home.
Water: Water is very important to your good health. You need to stay hydrated. If it is hard for you to drink water, add fresh lemon or lime. Try drinking 4 to 6 glasses per day of water. Drinking water is helpful to weight loss because it keeps you feeling full. An easy way to get your water intake is to bring a few bottles with you to work to have readily available to you. This will lessen the temptation to consume soda or fruit juices that are high in calories and filled with sugar. Remember, whenever beginning any dietary or lifestyle changes, always consult with a medical professional, particularly if you are taking prescription drugs or suffer from any disease or ailment.

Ephedrine Weight Loss

Ephedrine Weight Loss; Can I really lose weight by using Ephedrine products?
Ma Huang (Ephedrine) has been shown to increase the effectiveness of thermogenesis (fat burning) in the body. It contributes to the release and blocks the re-uptake of the neurotransmitter norepinephrine. This gives norepinephrine the ability to continuously stimulate receptors in your body, causing fat cell "flood gates" to open and facilitate fat loss resulting in weight loss.
Not only does ephedrine increase the rate at which fat is lost, it preserves muscle at the same time, making it an ideal dieting aid for athletes. The most comprehensive look at ephedrine for weight loss is a recent meta-analysis published in The Journal of the American Medical Association. This meta-analysis was done by the request of the US Department of Health and Human Services. It reviewed 44 controlled trials on the use of ephedrine for weight loss. It found that on average, it increased weight loss 1.3 lbs. per month more than placebo. However, combinations of ephedrine or ephedra with caffeine or herbs containing caffeine resulted in an average weight loss of 2.2 lbs. per month. Through nutrient repartitioning, ephedrine promotes fat loss while preserving fat-free mass.
One of the reasons why it is such a powerful weight loss agent is that it operates through a variety of mechanisms, including increasing levels of norepinephrine, epinephrine, and dopamine, and stimulating both alpha and beta adrenoreceptors. It (through facilitating the release of adrenaline and noradrenaline) stimulates the alpha(1)-adrenoreceptor subtype, which is known to induce hypophagia (appetite suppression). It is estimated that appetite supression accounts for 75-80% of the weight loss with ephedrine.
What is Ephedrine?
Ma Huang (Ephedrine) is known as one of the world's oldest medicines. Ma Huang (Ephedrine) is a member of the family of herbs known as the Ephedraceae. Ma Huang is a shrub-like plant found in desert regions throughout the world. It is distributed from northern China to Inner Mongolia. The dried green stems of the three Asian species (Ephedra sinica, Ephedra intermedia, Ephedra equisetina) are used medicinally. The North American species of ephedra, sometimes called Desert Tea or Mormon Tea, does not appear to contain the active ingredients of its Asian ephedra counterparts.
Ephedrine is a naturally occurring central nervous system stimulant obtained from the plant Ephedra equisetina. Ephedrine is produced by chemical synthesis, the synthetic product being marketed in the form of its salt, ephedrine sulfate; it occurs as a white crystalline powder with a bitter taste, soluble in water and very soluble in alcohol. Ephedrine's peripheral stimulant actions are similar to but less powerful than those of epinephrine (also called adrenaline), a hormone produced in the body by the adrenal glands.
What is Ephedrine used for?
Ephedrine has been used in China for more than 5,000 years to treat symptoms of asthma and upper respiratory infections. It has also been used in the treatment of headaches, fevers, colds, and hay fever. Today, compounds derived from this herb are commonly found in many over-the-counter (OTC) cold and allergy medications. Ma Huang is also found in some weight loss and energy products. For dieters, Ephedrine suppresses the appetite and stimulates metabolism through a process known as thermogenesis. Recently, Ma Huang has been the subject of scientific research for obesity because of this thermogenic fat-burning effect. It is used to increase heart rate, blood pressure and performance. This is normally released by your body under stress to enhance sports performance.
Ephedrine has moderately potent bronchial muscle relaxant properties, and therefore is used for symptomatic relief in milder cases of asthmatic attack; it is also used to reduce the risk of acute attacks in the treatment of chronic asthma. Ephedrine is also used to treat low blood pressure, because it constricts blood vessels and stimulates certain actions of the heart.
What are the side effects of use and Ephedrine Weight Loss?
Some of the more common side effects people experience from taking the drug are nervousness, dizziness, tremors, rapid heart rate, headaches, jitters, palpitations, insomnia, increased blood pressure. When taken at higher levels, ephedra can cause drastic increases in blood pressure, as well as cardiac arrhythmias. Discontine use if you experience any side effects.
Do not use this ephedrine weight loss product if you are now taking a prescription containing Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitor (MAOI) (Certain drugs for depression, psychiatric or emotional conditions, Parkinson's disease) or 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. If you are uncertain whether your prescription drug contains an MAOI, consult a health professional before taking this product. Do not store above 30 degrees C (86 degrees F). Protect from moisture.
What is an ECA stack?
The ECA Stack is a component found in thermogenic weight loss pills, composed of ephedrine, caffeine and aspirin working to speed up the metabolism and thus cause calories to burn faster and result in weight loss. Anyone with high blood pressure or heart problems should not take the stack.
Benefits of Ephedrine (Ephedrine Weight Loss)
o ephedrine increases metabolism
o ephedrine suppresses appetite
o ephedrine preserves muscle tissue
o ephedrine treats symptoms of asthma and upper respiratory infections
